    SettleAlaska.com

I have tried loading my site in 4 different browsers (Firefox, IE, Maxathon, and Chrome) and the front page is not showing up completely right now. I am wondering what I can do to fix this in the future. I have not made any changes to the site since it last worked…Anyways let me know what you guys come up with because I am really stumped on this one.

Thanks ahead in advance for the help!!!!

  • not sure what’s not coming up, but it looks like it’s having problems getting to df.gasbuddy.com which means your page isn’t finishing loading, so if you have any scripts that run onLoad, they won’t execute because the page hasn’t completed

ok so if I just get rid of the gasbuddy stuff should it work then?

Deactivate WP-auto-pin and I’m sure the site will look ok again. ??

There is conflicting CSS in there for the background color.

Start by sorting out some of the 65 markup errors. Then move onto the CSS errors.

Oh wow, is that a lot of errors or what. So I got rid of the autopin plugin and its now working in all the browsers except firefox which means its prob just my cookies or cache or soemthing at this point for that browser. \

So the markup errors are a pretty serious thing? Could this be causing me to lose traffic or anything?

The validator is really a guide to work towards – and can help with broken sites/content sometimes eg, unclosed divs.

If you check BBC.co.uk website in the validator – it still shows errors (check). Ideally, you want all your code and CSS to validate, but sometimes you can’t do anything about one or two eg, facebook like box sometimes throws errors.

Alright well thanks, I really appreciate it. Now if I can just figure out how to get targeted traffic to this site…haha Thanks a lot though I realllllly appreciate the help.
