Front page header, how to get same like on subpages

Hi, I have been fighting with the frontpage header image, like many others seem to have. I have not yet found any solution that would make it like I want.

So I am asking, is it possible to change the frontpage header to be similar like on subpages, so that the header height is locked to some value and it would not scale weirdly like it does now…

If you look the page I am working on, the subpage headers look like I want, but the frontpage header is hopeless… Well, still the subpage header also behaves wrong when scaled down to tablet or mobile widths, any help on that would be appreciated too.
