front page displays as a post

Have you made a separate page, and assigned that as your static front page? If you didn’t it’s probably using the sample page as a blog page and your front page.

Already did, changed the page from home to about us with blog as page for posts, however i can only get an excerpt of the page instead the page. i just found something i will try in the next minutes

it did not work, for the moment i will remove completely the page leaving the site without a front page, i need to show the site working, i will keep digging until i get something that works

I also want to use an blog item without the read more button, on my frontpage. So if anyone knows how to do this, please let me know.

The solution does not address the original issue. If you disable “excerpts” like that it is site wide. I need a proper front page with full content, and excerpts for the Blog page.
I started a new thread if anyone has or looks for a solution, right now there isn’t a solution.
