Front Page Display [STATIC PAGE OPTION NOT COMING]

please help me someone.. i really need this to work.. can you please redirect me to any page where this already might have been solved? i tried searching, but i coulnd’t find any appropriate results.. please help me.. ??

I don’t know any solutions to your problems but maybe you could downgrade back to 2.5 if the 2.6 isn’t working alright.

That means an update is out for a plugin.

yes! i do clear all my cookies and cache everytime i start up the computer. the damn thing wont come back! It’s very important to me since i wanted to make a landing page. Please could anyone give me any alternatives if this is not working? Like a plugin or something maybe? Which enables use of a landing page? Thanks so much! ??

The static page option for 2.6 is still in the same location as from 2.5.

Maybe you have a plugin activated that is interfering with the Reading Options page.

I deactivated ALL of my plugins [even though they were not related to the reading part] yet, the static page wont come up! I have no idea what to do now!! SOB Please recommend what to do!

Hi there,

You need to have a page created for this to display. In WP 2.6, the static page option doesn’t show until you have created a page within the Pages section. Once you have done this, go back to the Reading options and you’ll see the static page options where they are currently “missing”.
