Front page custom title not working

    Hello, I have a problem on a client’s WP site, the custom title I’m saving for the front page doesn’t load in the theme, but the Description is working fine.

    My front page is a static page set through WP settings with simple content in it.

    I’m using a “blankslate” theme of shorts, but we don’t have a function for the wp_title to overwrite anything.

    I’m trying to get rid of the “Home” title – currently the field contains: “Enduride – Performance Rollers & Idlers”

    Any help would be appreciate!

    Hello George!

    If you can tell me how it is done I’ll do a german translation of your plugin. Maybe vor version 2.4?

    Hi Bodo,

    That would be fantastic!

    The easiest (and recommended) way to do it is to start a German translation at the Add-Meta-Tags translations project.

    Once registered with the Transifex service (free registration), please go to the project I mentioned above and press the Request language button. Once, approved, you will be coordinating the German translation and can start translating the strings right away using the available online tools there.

    If you find this inconvenient, you can still use any offline tool, like POedit, to translate the strings and send the final translation (PO file) to me via email. I’ll upload it to Transifex for you.

    Please note that I am still getting familiar with the Transifex service myself! ?? If you need any help with the interface or the workflow, feel free to contact me via email or post a message in this topic. I’ll try to help as much as possible!

    Also please note that I haven’t uploaded the POT file (contains the english strings) of the 2.4.0 version yet.

    I’ll upload it soon, once I am finished with any changes for the 2.4.0 release. Possibly today.

    Hallo George,

    i’ve registered at transifex and requested a german translation. Is it you to approve/allow me to do the translation? I do not see anything to translate yet.

    Hi Bodo,

    Thanks for registering to the translations project. You are now the coordinator of the German translation.

    You can start translating online by visiting:

    https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/add-meta-tags/language/de/

    and clicking on the main resource and then Translate Now.

    If you prefer using offline tools, you can upload the local PO file from the same screen (Upload file).
