Front Page content not visible

I created a landing page for our church’s website and titled it Welcome. Also put it in the main menu. It is set up as the Front Page. I’d like to put most recent events on the page, but when I add content, it doesn’t show up. What am I doing wrong? Other suggestions I’ve read are for older versions of Great, and they aren’t relevant for the most current version.
