    Hi,

I’m using the Quark theme with WPML as translation plugin (french/english). My first language is French.
I created a page “Home” and set his model as “Front Page Template”.
I created another pages and set their model as “Full-width Page Template”.
I managed the translations of these pages.
My home page seems OK but if I update a page (which is not the “Home” page) then the model of “Home” page switches to “Full-width Page Template”.
Please note that the English page of “Home” is correcty set to “Front Page Template”.
Someone have any idea how to avoid this problem? Is the WPML plugin conflicting with the theme?

I haven’t used the WPML plugin as yet, but I am going to be looking in to it very soon. I’ve just submitted Quark to their site a few days ago, for review. So unfortunately, I can’t say at the moment whether it’s caused by the plugin or not. Normally, I wouldn’t expect the homepage template to change, when you simply update some other page.

I would suggest disabling your plugins, one at a time, and see if you can replicate the problem each time you disable one. You might be able to track down the culprit that way.

    Thanks for your reply.

Actually, I have no problem when WPML is disabled. I guess that WPML is the cause of this problem. It should have some kind of incompatibility or bug with this extension.
The strange thing is that I encounter this problem only when I modify 2 pages. With the other pages there is no problem.

Firstly I thought that the theme was the cause of the problem because the template was changed but now I think it is a problem specific to WPML.

I would also suggest recreating those two pages. When you do, make sure they don’t have the same page ‘slug’. WordPress should handle this automatically, but I have seen a couple of instances where two pages did have the same slug for some reason. So, try deleting the 2 pages that you are having issues with and then recreate them and see what happens.
