Front page broken because of carousel

It’s been a couple of weeks since I installed the plugin, and it has been working well so far. But tonight, my front page (and only that page with the carousel) started giving a 500 error that didn’t show up in any server logs. Since the other pages were working, I deactivated the carousel plugin and found that the page was working again.

I did not make any plugin or settings changes today, so I’m confident I did not cause this myself. Do you have an updated version of the plugin or a fix for this?
