Front Page blog posts appear in full

If I read everything correctly, there is no way to shorten the display of posts on the Front Page through the customizer.

I’m sorry, but this is keeping me from buying the expansion pack. I’d like a visitor to scroll down the page and not have to go through long posts just to get to the next one.
