Front page access control messed up since update
-
We want to hide the front page for not logged in users and redirect to the login page. This was working fine with UM 1.x but after updating to 2.0.11 the function was reversed – logged in users were NOT able to see the front page and instead were redirected to their UM user page, and not logged in users were able to see the front page.
At UM access settings, then I have unchecked “allow access to start page”. (After updating, this was checked.) Now nobody was able to see the start page: logged in users were redirected to the user page, not logged in users were redirected to the login page.
Then at page editor for the front page, I activated the section “UM content restriction” to allow only logged in users to access the page.
Now logged in users can see the front page at any time. Not logged in users can load the front page in default language although the content is only partly visible, but they will be redirected to the login page in default language if they try to open the front page in the second language. (First language=German, second=English. We are using WPML for languages.)
So this is still quite messed up. ??
