    HI,

    Just a quick question.

I’m looking to enable ‘Front-end target settings’ with the settings of:
    Block by country
follow validation rule settings (so only GB is allowed)

However, I am using WP Fastest Cache but it isn’t listed as supported so can I still use this feature and if so is there anything I should add or configure anywhere ?

Also to allow search engine bots such as Bing or Yandex do I just add Bing:HOST, Yandex:HOST to UA string and qualification ?

    Thanks

    Ian

    Hi again Ian,

Unfortunately, this plugin doesn’t support WP Fastest Cache. But when I tested WPFC and IGB with front-end blocking, I found the followings:

    1. When a visitor from the forbidden country throws a request to the un-cached page, then IGB would block the request because WordPress should handle it.

    2. When a visitor from the forbidden country throws a request to the already cached page, then WPFC respond it as a static content.

So for a visitor from the forbidden country, he/she can see sometimes the normal content (cached page) and sometimes the blocking message (un-cached page). Of course, a visitor from allowed country always can see the normal content.

My conclusion: From a security point of view, IGB still works to prevent some malicious requests.

Does those make sense for you?

    Thanks for your asking.

    Hi,

    Yes that seems fine.

    Thanks
