• Hi.

I have the latest plugin. I went through your video to set up the front end login. I enabled the module and tried placed the shortcode inside a text box (using x theme’s cornerstone), inside a raw content element, and tried placing it directly in the WordPress editor, but it always just showed the shortcode on the live page, not the form.

I’m not sure what I’m missing.

Also, while I’m asking. What’s the purpose of the verification? I’m new to course software, so bare with me. If they purchase and are registered when they buy, is there a reason I need to manually verify them?

    Thanks.

I also tested deactivating plugins to see if there is a conflict, but it didnt make a difference.

My first guess is that the Front End Login module wasn’t turned on. After plugin activation you do need to turn on any modules you’re using.

Manual verification is for sites that allow anyone to register but want to approve accounts before people can use them. You would not use it with ecommerce.

Thanks for the response. It’s turned on. I made sure to check that fiest. In your video it shows needing to hit save, but there isn’t a save button. However, when leaving the modules and comimg back it still shows “on”.

Another update. Just to test if anything is working, I tried adding the login/logout shortcodes and those converted to links, but the front end login codes just simply show on the page.

Yes, the videos are old and the Save step is no longer required.

Did you try creating a page without the page builder and adding the shortcodes that way? Maybe it’s an issue with the type of module you’re adding the shortcodes to, or a conflict in some other way with the page builder.

I did. I tried doing it through Cornerstone (x theme’s page builder) and directly through the WordPress editor, no page builder. For good measure, I even deactivated the page builder, then added it. It’s just odd the other shortcodes of Uncanny Owl’s work, but this one does not.

Yes, it’s very strange. We’re pretty confident with the Front End Login shortcodes, as they’re used on thousands of sites (including X). If it’s not working for you, however, maybe disable that module and give an alternative like Theme My Login a try. It sounds like something on your site is creating a conflict and it’s probably easier for you to use an alternative than trying to resolve that module in the Toolkit.

Ok. Thanks. I’ll give that a try.
