• Hi,

I need to build a “basic” website where a user can fill out a form/profile (including secure payment) on the front end. When a user has submitted a form, they need to have the ability to log in with the username/password they provided in their profile details so they can access a ‘My Account’ type of front end page which will list their account details.

I feel like this could be achieved with a plugin or two. I’d like to use WordPress for this project, but am not sure it will be as easy as I thought.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • Are you talking about making your WordPress like an e-commerce based and requires user to login and at the same time protect their credentials?

    Hi Richard,

Yes. E-commerce as in – when they fill out the form (contact info/account setup details/credit card info) they will be purchasing a product. However, there is only the one product on the whole website, so no need for a shopping cart setup.

While online payment isn’t my main concern right now, it still is important. But really I’m more worried about the ability to have a login prompt when they go to view the ‘My Account’ page. And once they log in with their credentials (that they previously defined when filling out the form) they are taken to a front end page listing their account details.

HERE is a better idea of what i’m talking about.

Think this will be a hassle to build in WordPress? Thanks.
