Front-end login widget and profile builder?

So I want to add a front-end login widget, not a separate page, that can be placed in the sidebar. Also, I’d like a neat profile signup system that allows users to edit simple things and upload an image, as I hate the gravatar profiles. Bonus points for a really sleek looking user submission form. Thank you.
