Overall, I love the Visualizer plug-in and use literally hundreds of charts on my website. On the sample page I provide, the Visualizer chart can be founder under the “ATTENDANCE” tab near the top of the page (using Tabby Custom Tabs plug-in).

For every chart I published, I toggle on PRINT and DOWNLOAD IMAGE options under Front End Actions under the Settings Tab in Visualizer.

I would expect that clicking on the Download link that subsequently appears on my website would result in either a .png, .jpeg or . webp file of the chart being downloaded to the user’s download folder.

But no! Instead it downloads a .NET file full of … garbage and nonsense symbols that has to be opened in Wordpad or MS Word. It’s not an image file.

    Why not?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Is anyone still monitoring these support boards? No responses to either user posts from the past 11 days.

    Hi @andycrossley!

I checked this on my test instance and a png file is downloaded for me – screenshot, as it is expected. Please try to disable all the plugins except Visualizer and check if the behaviour persists. To do this safely, you can use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Lucia,

The Screenshot you provided is not from the link I provided or from my website at all. That is not one of my charts. Can you please try again using the link provided in my original post and show that you are able to download an image of the actual chart on the “Attendance” tab? Thanks

    Andy

    Hi @andycrossley!

Indeed my screenshot is not from your site, but from my test instance, as I mentioned. I tried to replicate the behaviour that you describe on my site, but a png file is downloaded for me, so this doesn’t seem to be a general issue with the plugin, since the problem doesn’t occur on my site as well. This means that this behavior occurs only on your site. Please disable all the plugins, except Visualizer, as suggested above, and check if the issue persists.

    Have a nice day!
