from page articles with "read more" option.

  • Hi,
    I’m using the wp-o-matic plugin to import rss feeds and list them under categories.
    Anyway, the problem is tha the feeds show up on the front page as entire articles and with no readmore option.
    How can I fix this? And for some reason they don’t get updated. As in getting more feeds

  • First, check your theme options under Appearance > Options. Second look for home.php in your theme files and if you don’t have that, look at index.php. Change the_content to the_excerpt. Otherwise you can insert the <!--more--> tag wherever you want it.

    OK I tried the_excerpt and it just displays shorter amount of text and no image.
    This is for RSS that comes in as articles. I want on the homepage to view the attached image with some text and a read more option.
    When I create an artivle myself, then I could add the <!–more–> tag right? But what about those comming in from rss?
