The Google account we use is set as “[email protected]”. The First Name and Last Name are set properly. e.g. John Smith

In the Post SMTP plugin settings, the name is also set properly. e.g. John Smith

However, when we test the email, it shows the sender From Name simply as “web”.

Any advice on how to change the From Name? I know mail servers are cracking down on spoofing or changing names/emails, so I want to see if there’s a way to do this properly without a hack/workaround that might get rejected.

    Thanks.

    Hi @mlaw84,

Apologies for the delay in responding. Are you using G Suite on a custom domain? Are you seeing the sender’s name as “web” regardless of whether the recipient is internal or external?

Are you using the Google API to send?

    Kind Regards,
    Tim
