From Email retaining old email

    After installing and configuring WP Mail SMTP with a new GSuite hosted email hello ‘at’ artymcgoo.com and setting up the Gmail Client ID & Secret the From Email and > Authorization – ‘Connected as’ email both show as hello@.

    I’ve also updated the website admin email Settings > General > Administration Email Address to the same hello@

    When sending test emails or automated system emails they are all retaining the old admin email contact ‘at’ artymcgoo.com Any thoughts how we can get the from email to update? Thanks in advance!

  • Hi @wickeninc,

    Gmail mailer doesn’t allow to send emails from any other email addresses. The Google account you’ve authorized should be sending all the emails from your site. There is no other way around to update this email. The ‘From Email’ field should be greyed out and disabled. If the emails are sent from other accounts, probably other plugins created this behaviour. In case it helps, here’s tutorial to test for a plugin conflict.
