From Add-on Domain to live site

Hello,

I have created an add-on domain on my server and installed wordpress and created a site.

Currently, the url looks like this: siteaddon.mywebsite.com

I am now ready to make this site live. Meaning, I would like to type the real URL into the search bar and have the site (in it’s current location) come up, and have the real URL remain in the search bar. (No redirects)

I have been told that I need to change the name servers of real domain to point to my server, as well as run an SQL query to rename the images in the site to now be directed to the new domain.

I have found a plug in called ‘Go Live Update URLS’ but I’m not really sure what to do from here..

Any help would be appreciated.
