    Hi all,

I’ve got a MU running one domain with several subdomains. All working ok until I had upgrade my server software to unable it to run PHP 5.3. I backed up the SQL DB and did a server re-image.I’ve reinstalled WP and the main domain is working fine.

The part I’m having trouble with is that the in Network dashboard I have all my sites showing but when I try to access one of the dashboards other than my main site it comes up with this error: “No Update Required. Your WordPress database is already up-to-date!”

When trying to view the sites (other than the main site) all I get is an empty page.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

You backed up your files, too, right? So you have the right wp-config.php file? All your uploads?

    hi

no. I didn’t get my uploads back, just the data.

Right. I have a feeling when you ‘reinstalled’ WP (which you didn’t need to do, actually), you whacked all your files.

You don’t need to ‘reimage’ your server to upgrade PHP ever (that would suck … Wow). You only needed to rebuild Apache with the new version of PHP compiled within.

You need your old files back. Without that, you MAY be able to get away with just re-adding the wp-config.php lines again, like if you were making a new Network.

that’s what I did but no luck. Is there a way of rebuilding the wp-config.php file manually?

Not really without knowing what ELSE you had in it, no. S’why you’re supposed to back your site up before you move it. Which is essentially what you did.

the same problem occurs if I try to add a new site to the network.

What is going to be the best solution for me?

Start over with a new database.

if I have site A working ok, is there a way to back that up, create a new DB and import that site back in?

If you can get into the wp-admin section, try exporting the site.
