Fresh Install / 500 error and Syntax Error

I recently created a fresh install to test this and while attempting to go to the mind maps page I get the following console errors :
GET https://mywebsite.com/index.php?rest_route=/mmb/maps 500
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=mmb#/:1 Uncaught (in promise) SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0
