Frequency of the notifications

    Hello!

    I use this plugin for a client and we want to know what are the email notifications frequency? Does it send a email each time the plugin finds a broken link? So if I check every hour, it will send a email every hour if the plugin finds broken links?

    Or maybe it is a another settings in the plugin or in config files?

    Hi there @zanicom

    Existing links will be checked at the frequency you set, but a notification will only be sent the first time the broken link is detected.

    Newly added links will be checked pretty much immediately and, if a broken one is detected, that should, trigger a notification right away.

    Hi Patrick, great and very handy plugin! What do you recommend setting the frequency on? If I were to put once every hour, would that slow down anything? Should I stick with 24 hours?

    I hope you are doing well.

    It depends on the size of your website, in case you have multiple posts it is possible the plugin can’t finish the process before trying to start a new one and can cause an issue.

    I would keep 24 hours as it is a good time and will avoid problems like the link request be blocked by the target server causing false positives.
