    Hi,

Every access will be checked against the API so you’ll always have the latest data.

There are currently 2 API servers. One for the users who are closest to Europe and one for the users who are close to the USA.

    Hi,
another question. Do the presence of Super Cache Plugin affect the function of IQ Block Country? Concerning the presence of already cached pages.

Thank you to answer me that.

    Hi,

Yes it affects the blocking. Because iQ Block Country needs the dynamic pages to do it’s work.

In the best case scenario sometimes bad users will be blocked from the frontend, and other times they will be served the page from the cache, so not be blocked.

This all depends on your settings of course.

If you want to use caching and also use geoblocking you probably won’t find that in any plugin but you have to resort to caching solutions like Varnish that has a whole lot of options to be lighting fast and yet can block, redirect an what not based on browser, country, mobile/desktop etc.

Of course iQ Block Country will function quite well for backend blocking as those pages do no need to be cached.

Thank you for that clear statement. I will use your plugin with the API.

    Last Question:

Does this resolve the cashing issue generally?
    Header set Set-Cookie “VC-NoCache=1; max-age=900; path=/”
    Header set VC-NoCache “1”

Is it recommended to use this 2 lines when your plugin is used?

    Thanks again for your answer.

    Hi,

Probably not. Setting these headers will presumably only work for the browser caching of your visitors as you probably would set these in a .htaccess file. And your visitors will be served the pages from supercache so supercache will not see these headers.

Aha! This is interesting. Thank you for your friendly answers.
In the meantime I have installrd your plugin with API-Key.

And it works fine and fast.

    Greetings.
