    Hi,

I set the main language of my frontend to french. Some woocommerce texts are translating on the front end but some others are not. I downloaded the Loco plugin to check if those specific strings were missing a translation in the po files, and they are not. For example, in the po file, “Checkout” and “Additional information” are translated according to loco but they still appear in english on my website.

see video for a demonstration https://www.loom.com/share/3a6d8099f2b843ddaec4617e773d0aab

    Thanks for your help!

  • Hello @erminiadev

According to your reporting and video, I tried to reproduce the translation issue on my side, but it seems working fine here (watch this)

→ Recheck your PO/MO file location on the right path (System: languages/plugins/woocommerce-fr_FR.po), then sync your translation from the pallet and try again.

    I hope this will helps.

    Hey there!

When we see this happen (where WooCommerce shows that the string is translated but it’s not showing on the front), that usually means that your theme/plugin is adding in those strings. They are overriding the translated WooCommerce ones with their own, and those aren’t translated.

I would look for the strings in the theme with Loco Translate and then go from there. You can also ask the theme support for more info if you’re still stuck.
