[French translation] Difficulty to generate the JSON translation file

    Hello !

    I wanted to share with you the French translation file I made for your plugin. It would be super great if it could be integrated in the next update !

    I’ve never done a translation for a Gutenberg block before and I’m having a hard time exporting it to a working JSON file despite the tutorials I’ve followed. I have used the cli command : wp i18n make-json languages/ --no-purge and I get 8 json files corresponding to the translation I made.

    From what I understand, I should select the most complete JSON file (the file with the biggest size?), rename it to “ht-glossary-fr_FR-htgb-block.json” and change this line inside "domain": "messages", "locale_data":{"messages":{"":{"domain": "messages", to "domain": "ht-glossary", "locale_data":{"ht-glossary":{"":{"domain": "ht-glossary",. By trying like this, my translation file does not seem to be taken into account ??

    Thanks for letting us know, it looks like you’re following the correct process, but the plugin isn’t loading the block translation correctly.

    I’ve made a note on our tracker to investigate the issue and will fix in a future update.

    Hi @trucmuchebidule,

    Just to advise that this has been a work in progress and we have released v1.2.2 today, which improves the translation loading behaviour. It also includes French as an example of a pre-translated language pack.

    There’s still some work to be done to streamline this process, but hopefully it’s a big improvement in the translation functionality of the Heroic Glossary block.
