French month title lower cased

Hey, is there a reason why qtranslate renders the word of the month with a lower cased first letter?
On the article page, when echoing the date, I’ll see January when I’m on the english version but janvier when i switch over to French. This also happens on all of our calendar pages (Using tribe’s Events calendar plugin). Has anyone else run into this?
Is there a central place in the plugin where the month’s name gets output?

Here is a sample
French: https://france-amerique.com/fr/french-art-professionals-united-in-the-states/
“janvier 12th, 2017”

English: https://france-amerique.com/french-art-professionals-united-in-the-states/
“January 12th, 2017”
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
