Freesoul Deactivate Plugins will automatically deactivate plugins

I suppose you also have other plugins. If so, can you please export the list of them? You can go to Freesoul Deactivate Plugins => Tools icon => Favorite plugins => Export => Export the list. Then I will try to reproduce the same problem on my local installation.
Would it also be possible for you to provide WPGrid Builder? It seems like a premium plugin, and I haven’t it. For Oxygen no problem.

I recently came across a very strange but critical problem, where all my plugins seem to deactivate on their own. i am running a dev site using staging feature from wpvivid. dev.kava.house

I tried to export the list of plugins as you requested above but can only see the list of active plugins. In total, i have around 85 plugins of which around 65 are active. I should be cleaning up once i test and finalize which is not needed. P.S. I already removed over 30 plugins (some plugins expand with many related plugins).

I came across your plugin as i was searching for the deactivating plugins issue. This is a one man show, with limited programming and Linux experience. I started my career as a systems analyst and designer – many light years ago ??

How can you help?

Here is an ls of the plugins since i can’t export it from FDP. Also, please note that my site became suddenly terribly slow after i installed FDP, even though i only have 3 active plugins. Previously, with 3 active plugins it was super-fast. Also, Ram usage shot up significantly. Finally, i am running a private VM.

it’s important that I can reproduce the same issue.
Only the plugins that are active matter if they already give issues.

Please, reproduce the same issue with the minimum number of active plugins, and then give me the list of them. Then I will install them on my testing environment and try to reproduce the same issue.
It would be great if you export the active plugins with FDP, so I can import them on my testing installation with one click.
Please, if possible, tell me also the steps to reproduce the problem.

The plugins that are not active don’t run and normally should have no impact if other plugins don’t do something only if their files exist. But this is a very rare case.

Also, please note that my site became suddenly terribly slow after i installed FDP, even though i only have 3 active plugins. Previously, with 3 active plugins it was super-fast.

This is the first time I hear it. Have you tried to disable again FDP to confirm it? Just to be sure it wasn’t a coincidence. If it’s confirmed we will investigate it deeper. Did it happen also before using the FDP settings?

No, the site was fast after all the plugins were disabled, then when i enabled FDP it became slow with only 3 plugins, revslider, and 2 more.

But i received an update for FDP just now. It seems ok, since then. But FYI, when the plugins become randomly deactivated, this included FDP as well.

Hi Jose,

I think, when i try to activate cloudflare, it resets all plugins. in this case i had only activated 6 plugins.

I deleted it for the time being.

Please note that WP Activity Log, is always active and has an incognito mode so it cannot be seen as part of the plugins list.

Of course, this could be a cron schedule, but i don’t know how to troubleshoot that.

I will try to activate more plugins and get back to you.

The plugin cloudflare/cloudflare.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.

keeps popping up even after removing the plugin. i have so far activated 25 plugins. will keep for a few hours and check again.

Just to keep you posted. I was able to enable over 35 plugins. But to my surprise this morning the server is at 100% CPU and non-responsive. It later settled down, but i still have to troubleshoot this episode.

I also found out that cloudflare was the one deactivating all plugins for some odd reason so i disabled it and deleted it for now. I have tried to use FDP to a little extent but have not used it on all plugins. Do you have a trial version of Pro? I am coming to think that the autodetect feature may prove more practical in some cases like mine.

maybe one or more plugins sometimes request too much power that your server is not able to give.

I suggest you check which plugin consumes too much with Code Profiler.

After you detect which plugins consume more than others, focus on those plugins.

In my opinion, first, you should understand what is going on and then use Freesoul Deactivate Plugins. In another case, you never know if FDP is giving issues, or if it’s a different plugin that gives issues.
I suspect you are near the limits of your server, and in some situations, those limits are exceeded, or one of the plugins has some problems.
Code Profiler will be a big help to understand which plugins consume more power.

About the FDP PRO version, you can test the auto-suggestion with the homepage (Singles => Homepage) if it’s a static page, and in Backend => Backend Singles.

In Backend Singles you will find the action button to suggest the needed plugins. See the button n. 13 of the table that you find here: https://freesoul-deactivate-plugins.com/how-deactivate-plugiins-on-specific-pages/action-buttons/

If your homepage is a static page, you will find the button “Suggest plugins”.

The process for automatically suggesting the needed plugin requires a relatively high power from the server. If you have problems with the CPU, it may fail if the limits of your server are exceeded. This doesn’t happen in normal situations, but as I understand sometimes you have problems with the CPU.

If the auto-sugggestion works with the homepage and the backend pages, then it will work also on other pages with the PRO version.

I was forgetting. On my installations, I was not able to reproduce the issue related to the plugin’s deactivation.

We haven’t offered any special discounts for Blackfriday/Cyber week, and we don’t offer any trial version. As written in my previous comment you can test the auto-suggestion feature already with the free version. If it works with the free version it will also work with the PRO version. A reason for working for free for the free version is also to give the possibility to have an idea about the plugin. If the auto-suggestion for the homepage or the backend pages doesn’t work, feel free to open a thread on this support forum.
If you buy the PRO version, and something doesn’t work, you can open a ticket on the premium support system.

As said, in your case, first I would be sure that the free version works without problems, and only then I would buy the PRO version. We don’t want money from users who have problems with FDP. The PRO version is an add-on to the free version, so, it’s a mandatory condition that the free version works on your site. But this doesn’t mean that we give the money back or that we offer a trial version. It means that you can test the free version, and if you buy the PRO version and you have problems, we will try to solve them. If for clear bugs of FDP, and not because of issues caused by other plugins or the theme, something doesn’t work and we are not able to find a solution before two weeks, then, only then, we give the money back.

If you have an issue I’m here to try to find a solution also for the free version, but you should first be sure your site works without problems without FDP, or that FDP is not the cause of the problems. From the information you have given, it looks like there are some issues with your installation.

Said that I’m always happy to give a little discount when the user has problems with the budget, but not because of Blackfriday, and it will not be the percentage that you wrote in your email, because for us it would not be sustainable.

Thank you for taking the time to explain. I understand the effort and involvement. I face the same. Just to be clear, it is a practice of most companies to have a mega sale sometime every year and more companies do that during this season. I asked because I do not have any depth with Linux or WP & WC, do not have the budget and as I explained earlier, this is a one-man show trying to start a business and go live ?? & no belittling of your company practices is intended – simply using the time of year to my advantage. Let me take this chance and wish you the Season’s greetings.

I read all the recommendations about the recommended number of plugins and i am trying to keep them to a minimum, but i still need the functionality. Conversely, ecommerce sites need speed, speed and more speed. So, your FDP seems, with its auto recommend function, to allow me to efficiently remove unnecessary plugins from pages where they do not belong – and i think i can do that with any future updates to the site.

What kind of problems? i.e., i installed, activated and it is accessible and i can see the plugins and pages and i disabled sliderrev plugin from all pages except the homepage. I cannot tell what happens behind the scenes and can only assume that if i use the auto recommend feature and it works, then if i test the speed of my website pages, they should have less requests, smaller DOM, be lighter and load faster. Right?

In all cases, offering a discount is entirely your perogative, i am asking because if it is well discuounted then it is possible for me to purchase it and use it for the whole site and dont have to feel guilty that i chose this over another needed expense – and with no revenue yet, expenses are many and all needed.
