Looks like the Freemius tracking option turned on and now I don’t see a way to turn it off.

The conflict happens on a site using Rocket Theme and Gantry 5 framework. The error message is:

Whoops \ Exception \ ErrorException (E_WARNING) Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/wp-content/plugins/popup-maker/includes/libs/freemius/includes/class-freemius.php:6830)

This error blocks the ability to make any changes to the template settings while PopUp Maker is active. I have to deactivate and reactivate the plugin to make any changes to the site template or content.

Uninstalling and reinstalling didn’t work, as I’m assuming the “Skip” function actually skips the tracking option and doesn’t disable the Freemius code. I can’t find anyplace in the database where this setting is stored either.

@chaddosan – I have passed this on to the Freemius team. As soon as we hear back we will let you know.

@chaddosan I’m Vova Feldman, co-founder at Freemius. The thrown error happens when Freemius tries to redirect (different use-cases), while there was already content sent to the output buffer before too early. It usually happens when theme/plugin developers leave unwanted spaces, End Of Line or BOM characters before “<?php” or after the “?>” directives.

But based on your description, the error is there all the time when you try to make changes to the template? Is it happen on “Save” action? Could you please provide more details exactly what triggers the error. Thanks!

    Hi Vova,

Yes, it happens only upon the Save action. The only way to keep it from happening when I want to update something in the template is to de-activate the plugin, make my changes and save, and the re-activate. It happens every single time I try to save any changes in the template in any section.
