freehostia, permalinks and archives

    Hey, I want my posts to be stored in an archives directory, and my categories to be stored in a tags directory. I changed my archives permalinks to look like this :

    /archives/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

    And my tags permalinks to look like this:

    /tags

    It works fine, but when I look in the directories with my FTP program, I don’t see anything in there. Also, /archives has no index page. Is there any way to fix this, or is that just the way it is on freehostia?

  • The “Permalink directories” never physically exist on your server.

    That’s the magic of WordPress. It takes your content from the database and displays it as desired.
