free widget: shows 0 followers on instagram

The reason it shows 1K followers is that, based on the advice of your chat-agent Tom, I set the value manually. It looked so pathetic to be at 0.
So actually I do not know if it is working now but it certainly was not working yesterday.

Ok, would it be possible to provide a screenshot where we can see the info added under question number 5 in the plugin’s settings for Instagram i.e. the client ID etc.?

FYI, I just gave it a try setting it back to Automatic from Manual, and the same issue is there, there appear 0 followers in the Instagram Icon.
So I am setting it back to Manual while you work on the problem, if possible.

Could you please try to generate another access token under question number 5 for Instagram and notice if it works with it?

That appears to have fixed it.
What happened ?
Is it related to the fact that I changed my Instagram password a few weeks ago ?
In any case, I will monitor the situation and let you know if it goes off again.

Hi Jon! Yes, it is possible, thanks for letting us know.

Spoke too soon.
Now it is very odd.
The count on the home page of the site is correctly showing 1K
But any internal pages show 0 followers.
Go have a look

then navigate around the main menu and you will see.

We investigated more and apparently this is caused by the fact that Instagram is in the process of deprecating the API platform used to retrieve the counts.

We’ll implement a new solution for getting the Instagram counts. I’ll update you when it’s released.
