(Free version) Starred messages not stacking

    Hi @wordplus,

    I found an issue on the free version.
    Starred messages are not stacking, and not counting on the main menu icon.
    It stays at zero, and when you go inside ?starred, there is nothing.
    I never tried it before and I never had any report, maybe no one use it ^^
    I will check, if I can find something I tell you back.

    Thank you for kidding ?? I found some time to take a look on it.

    — With Buddypress messaging :
    – I mark a message as starred, go to another page, comme back on the thread, it is still marked as starred.
    – The starred messages are well grouped under the starred messages page.

    — With BP Better Messages (free version, dedicated page for messaging) :
    – I mark a message as starred, go to another page, comme back to the thread, it is still marked as starred.
    – But, the starred messages are not counted. The count stays at 0. Then I clic on the star icon and the starred messages list is empty.

    — Test :
    – I disable BPBM
    – I mark messages as starred with BP.
    – Then I enable BPBM : the count is working, and the starred messages are well stacked in the list.
    – But : they don’t show as starred, neither in the starred list nor if you go in the thread. The star is empty, not filled in yellow. If I fill them, they stay as starred. If I unfill, the star is empty but they are still counted and stacked as starred (from BP ..). If I mark another message as starred (still BPBM ON) it is not working (only working if done with BPBM off)

    — Looking from the database :
    Using BPBM, when I mark a message as starred, the meta is created in the db but the value is 0 instead of the user ID as BP does.

    I tried this on a test server with only BP (4.4.0) + BPBM (1.9.7.9) extensions running.

    Can you reproduce it ?

    I have the same problem.

    I can star posts. But they do not appear in the Star menu. No messages or counting appear.

    How can we solve this?

    I’m surprised you can’t reproduce it as I tested it on a fresh install on test server. I will check the support request.
