• First of all, the ‘clone/migrate’ options are a bit ambiguous, then it froze on 92% when creating a backup file. Turns out that was a false message and the back was generated. Then finally tried to transfer and the site said “backup file large than allowed”. Of course, because the backup limit in the php settings is 2Mb (it can only ever be a max of 16mb) and the backup is nearly 500Mb. But, OH LOOK, there is an option to BUY unlimited for 60 bucks a year, what a surprise.. So, in short, Everest backup free version is completely useless. I really hoped this might just work. All I wanted to do was move a site for a local charitable organisation. Uninstalled.

    Dear @mikenco,

    Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on our Everest Backup WordPress Plugin. We understand your concerns regarding the upload size limit and its impact on your experience with our plugin. We would like to clarify a few points that may help address your concerns.

    Firstly, the upload size limit is not a restriction imposed by our Everest Backup plugin. Your web hosting server determines it. As plugin developers, we don’t have control over the server settings. We kindly request you to consult with your hosting provider to adjust these limitations, as it may help resolve the issue you face.

    Secondly, we offer a free add-on to our plugin that increases the upload limit to 1 GB. This add-on was developed to help users who face server restrictions like the one you encountered. We apologize if this feature was not clear. The add-on is called Everest Backup Liteupload and can be installed free from the Addons menu within our plugin’s interface. ( Navigate to Everest Backup Menu -> Addons -> Everest Backup Liteupload )

    We believe that this clarification might help improve your experience with our plugin, and we hope you will reconsider your rating. We appreciate your understanding and would be grateful if you could update your review. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we’re committed to assisting you with any queries or issues you may have. Our support team is always available, and you can contact us for help. For more information on support and reporting bugs, please visit https://wpeverestbackup.com/support/. Thank you for your comprehension.

    Thank you once again for your valuable feedback, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need any further assistance.

    Best regards,

    @mikenco,

    In addition to our previous reply, we would like to clarify that our Everest Backup plugin does not have any tiny file size limit. As mentioned earlier, the limit you encountered was from your server’s settings, and our plugin developers cannot control or modify this setting. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.

    We also noticed that you did not reach out to our support team for assistance with the issue you faced. Our team is always ready to help our users with any queries or concerns they may have, and we encourage you to contact us if you encounter any issues with our plugin.

    We appreciate your feedback and would like to invite you to reconsider your rating, as we believe that our clarification and assistance can improve your experience with our plugin. Once again, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team if you need any help.

    Thank you.
