• It is possible for your certifcate to take longer than 24 hours to authorize. I am going on 2 days now without any timeframe given to me. Support is less than helpful. my site is unusable because of this. Unsecure and constant https errors. My site was fine before using cloudflare and now it is completely unusable. I am very frustrated and support isn’t helping.

Edit: I changed to 3 stars as I am still very unhappy with the trouble caused by a simple omission of a potential flaw. My site was unusable for over 3 days and no one bothered telling me all I had to do was put Cloudflare on Pause until the certificate cleared.

    PLugin 5 Stars!
    Support 1 Star!
    Overall 3 stars.

  • Guessing you got this sorted out but thought it worth adding an answer so it may help others. What the Cloudflare documentation doesn’t make clear at all is that if you want to use their Universal SSL on a free account, then after switching the nameservers to theirs, and requesting a SSL be issued, you then need to immediately put Cloudflare on Pause (overview tab, click on the Advanced link and then click the Pause button) until the SSL has been issued which more often than not does take 24 hours.
