    Hello,

Since a few weeks we have a problem with the shipping rates. If a registered client wants to order something and they are in de designated zone for free shipment (delivery) then shipping is calculated unless they click on “calculate shippingcost”and update to the (known) postcode.

I checked multiple times if the postcode was correct, if it was shown in their account.
It should automaticly go to the free shipping, right?
In the zones section settings the free shipping (delivery route) comes first, then the rest of the Netherlands and then Belgium.

What am I missing? Ty in anvance!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @maringa77
Thank you for reaching out to us. I’ll be happy to help you.

When it comes to the shipping zones. Could you please give more information about the settings? The free shipping should be applied to the country or a zip code? The shipping zones should be configured according to our article.

Additionally, it is possible to create just a Free Shipping method in a particular shipping zone. You can click on “Free shipping” method while adding a new shipping method. It will be applied by default to all the products.

If you have further questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

    Kind regards,
    Mateusz

    Hi Mateusz,

I’ve configured the shipping zones according your article.
The free shipping (= free delivery) consists of multiple postcodes within an area around the shop.
People within these postcodes, with a client account or as a guest, get free delivery. People outside of this area pay for shipping.
It worked just fine untill 3-4 weeks ago.
I hoped it was due to a bug or missed update but I updated everything to the latest version today and still it happens.

Now, if someone wants to order on the website, they have to click on the “calculate shipping cost” button on the cart page. Even when they are returning customers with a known adress and postcode that is within the free shipping area.

If a returning customer is logged in it used to be that the free shipping was shown on the cart page. Now it shows the shipping costs (€9,50) and the only way to change that is to click on that “calculate shipping cost” button. And even more annoying is that sometimes it just doesn’t change to the free shipping. I did check on these occasions if the postcode was in the list for free shipping and it was.

I’m at a loss here, because it used to work and now it doesn’t but there hasn’t been any changes to the website. Only the usuals updates of plugins, themes and core files.

    with kind regards, Maringa

    Hello @maringa77
    Thank you for your message.

I understand your case. You wrote that has been updates to plugins, themes and core files.

Could you please try setting the default Storefront theme and additionally disable all the other plugins which might disrupt the Flexible Shipping?

Therefore, we could eliminate the potential troubles caused by the updates of themes and plugins.

    Kind regards,
    Mateusz
