Hi @katejonesdesign
The free shipping coupon isn’t working as it should. I have added a coupon and ticked the box to say it should enable free shipping. I have also added a free shipping method. I am using shipping classes to assign different shipping costs for different products, but i’d like to offer a code to override all these and offer free shipping via the code. The code is recognised in the cart, but the shipping cost is not removed.
From what I understand, you’re experiencing some issues with the functionality of your free shipping coupon. Despite setting it up correctly and assigning a free shipping method, it seems that the coupon is recognized in the cart but the shipping cost is not being removed as expected. I can imagine how this could be frustrating and I’m here to help.
Let’s try a few steps to see if we can resolve this issue:
- Ensure that your free shipping coupon is not restricted to a specific product or category. If it is, it will only apply if those specific items are in the cart.
- Double-check that the free shipping method is set up correctly. It should be under ‘Shipping Zones‘ in your WooCommerce settings. Each zone should have a free shipping method enabled. You can find more information about ?? Configuring Free Shipping Here
- Verify that there are no other active coupons that could conflict with your free shipping coupon.
If you’ve done all these steps and the problem continues, could you give us some more details? We’d like to understand better your shipping class settings and how you’ve set up your free shipping coupon.
Screenshots of your coupon settings, shipping settings, and the cart when the issue happens would be very useful. This will help us grasp the situation better and find a more accurate solution. You can use https://snipboard.io to share screenshots. Just follow the instructions on the page and paste the URL in your reply.
Also, could you share your site’s System Status report? This will help us understand your site’s setup better and pinpoint the issue. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status
. Select Get system report
and then Copy for support
.
If there are any fatal error logs, please share those too. You can find them in WooCommerce > Status > Logs
.
Once you have that, please paste it inside a Code block in your reply, or use https://pastebin.com/ to paste it and share the link with us.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation in this matter. I’m looking forward to your response so we can solve this issue for you.
