Free Plugin for calculating mass and volume of items in the cart

Would someone be able to assist. I am busy looking at ways to automate a few business processes. I am looking for a plugin that will calculate the volume and mass of items in the cart. I want to be able to create a message alert when a certain volume or mass has been reached (ie a full container load) in the cart, the shopper will be alerted.
