  • while setting I noticed email sent stripped plain text so free plugin is almost useless

    Hi @eiad, thanks for your feedback, but I think you may have rushed here a little bit. CartBounty uses HTML emails by default and it does not matter if its a free or a paid version.

    You may have a plugin or some other settings that are forcing to send out plain text email messages instead of HTML messages from your server or website. Or it could be that the email server you are opening these reminder emails are by default configured to open the email in plain text and you need to enable HTML mode.

    There are a couple of various options you should check here, but I’m afraid your feedback is not really accurate.

    Rich text editor not showing in your editor, and when I input html code in text box result is same

    can you confirm if above is not the case.

    Besides the notification email not all plain text, your html template showing fine, only the text we enter is stripped, that concluded things for me

    If you force plain text you should mention in description, Please let me know if I missed something here

    Ok, so this last information is something a bit different from the initial info provided ??
    You are correct, CartBounty neither free, not paid version currently include an option to edit email templates using some WordPress style block editors. Instead we have tried to keep these templates as simple and easy to setup as possible.

    And also no HTML tags are currently allowed in the email contents (they will be stripped out and it is done to make sure no errors are made inside these messages and the end-user receives a valid HTML email).

    However if one feels comfortable and good with HTML, CartBounty has integrated templating system which allows you to directly edit HTML email and include custom HTML tags, styles etc. This option is intended for more advanced users / developers who feel the need to extend emails and take things just a bit further. Please take a look at our FAQ on using templates.
