    Hi.
Many years ago, the site I am working on, started using jetpack. I wasn’t working with it at the time, but I assuming that “back then” the google analytics-handling was available in the free version, as I haven’t heard that we ever had the paid version. Now my problem is this; we want to disconnect from GA, but since it’s no longer under the free version, I would have to buy a license to be able to disconnect.
Have anyone else had this problem, – and if yes, did you find a solution other than buying license?
We might be leaving the whole jetpack-plugin in not-so-long-a-time, so for this reason I am hoping that I don’t have to buy license.

    Hi @gullhaug

I took a look and the Google Analytics module in your Jetpack is indeed inactive, so there should not be any stats being generated from that.

Do you know if you have added the code to your site by another means? A plugin, or adding the GA code directly to the functions.php file?

Hi Bruce, and thanks for the quick response!
I have looked in the code earlier, to make sure it is not served from there, but took a look today at the other plugins we have; turns out that the cookie compliance plugin my colleague installed this summer, is handling it!! I guess this should serve as a hint to us about getting better to duplicate the knowledge between us …
I am sorry for taking up your time unnecessary.

    Regards,
    Ellen

P.S. Like your title, “Happiness Engineer” ??
