Fraudulent Orders – Similar Email Addresses

Hello,

Last night I got emailed about a rash of orders, cancelled orders, failed orders, etc. Logged in this morning to see what was going and I had 10 attempted orders, all using the same email address, only varying by a period or two. Woocommerce and Stripe caught six of them, but unfortunately, four of them went through. The product was automatically shipped and cannot be recalled at this time. I’ve contacted Stripe to see what to do about the obviously fraudulent payments.

Questions:

1. What is the best way to prevent this from happening again?

2. Any idea what the scam is? The product was sent all over the country so I don’t think they actually wanted it. And it’s nothing exciting, just a few bottles of baby lotion.
