Fourth featured page

  • Hello,

    First, thanks a lot for this very nice theme ! It’s very elegant and clear.

    As usual, i made a ‘child’ theme ; so I don’t make changes in radiate, but I do in ‘radiate-child’.

    I need a “Fourth featured page”, for the Homepage. I know it works when I modify inc/customizer.php and front-page.php which are in the parent theme ‘radiate’ ; but instead of doing this in radiate/, I want to do this in radiate-child/ : I tryed to do my changes in radiate-child/inc/customizer.php but it doesn’t work : in my back-office I still have only 3 featured pages displayed.

    Do you know how can I do to make all my changes in radiate’s child theme ?

    Hi,
    For the front-page.php, it is a template file you can just same file to your child and make changes there.
    But for the customizer.php, it is a fucntionality file so copying it with the same path in child theme and making changes there won’t have any affect. So, for the functionality part you can write the functions directly in the fucntions.php file of child theme. This can be difficult if you are not familiar with this, so you may need to hire a developer on this one.
