• Hello,

Has anybody else seen this? I only have a handful of registered users and today I noticed I have two users, usernames are:

    system0
    system1

    Both have registration dates of
    January 1, 1970 12:00AM

I can’t delete them through user manager and I can’t edit their roles, change their roles from administrator to anything else.

I’m sure I can delete them via mysql but I wanted to check if anyone had encountered this before? Seems like a hack, of course, but my passwords are pretty complicated and it just seems strange that a hacker would choose those usernames? And then not “do” anything?

    Thanks!
    Rob

  • Hi,

sry for my english, i am a german User but i have the same problem.
i want to delete the many spam-users and see one the name are:

    system0

and this one are an administator.

i delete him and now he are gone, you can delete him via MySQL too, its not important…

I am seeing this on a local wordpress site. I get up to 20+ systemX users created each day. I need to find out what is causing this.

There is no automatic cron job running that is doing this. The users are created at random times.

This on an intranet and there is no one accessing this site yet, it is still in preproduction.

Any ideas on this would be helpful.

    Thanks

Did anyone find this out already? Happened to me in the last half year or so.
