Found Possible Hack

  • Discovered today while looking at validation a possible hack that is going overlooked by people.

    If you check your posts for the following code;
    <div id=”seolinx-tooltip”

    You may have been hacked. I have googled it and I see it on hundreds of sites but no one is discussing its source. I’ve found it in blogs, forums, joomla sites and today in a ticket system.

    Just so you know.

    I found it to be the FireFox plugin called “SEO Quake”
    Apparently with that enabled and when you publish its pasting in content.

    Simple solution is tossing this addon, it has some buggy events taking place.
