Found a trojan in your code!!

  • My eset antivirus found this:

    backup_2022-11-06-2217_The_ <deleted by me> _42ea83bcffaf-plugins.zip – a variant of JS/Danger.DoubleExtension trojan – deleted
    backup_2022-11-06-2217_The_ <deleted by me> _42ea83bcffaf-plugins.zip > ZIP > plugins/wp-file-manager/lib/js/worker/quicklook.tiff.js – a variant of JS/Danger.DoubleExtension trojan – deleted

    I looked at the file and it was a trojan on my site. Might want to check your codebase.

    I have just bought their FileManager PRO version.

    I do not use their backup feature.
    Should I disable this plugin due to this trojan ?

    Either delete the plugin and install a different file manager, or go to your

    /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-file-manager/lib/js/worker

    directory and delete the “quicklook.tiff.js” file.

    Hi bsam21, I looked at your so-called trojan alert, and it’s either a mistake on your part, or a lie, there’s nothing wrong with the quicklook.tiff file.
    It’s a 249 octect file that contains clean code, which I’ve bagged with my Eset antivirus, which I’ve also sent to virustotal, this file is not a trojan at all.
    I don’t know where you downloaded this zip archive, but you should think before you say stupid things.

    First of all, I installed the app via the wordpress loader. My eset found it when I went to use the app. I just reported it here. If it was a false positive, fine, but I’d rather report it than not.
