Forum wpForo 1.4.13 Frustration

    I hope someone can help.

    We have our WP site now pretty much as we want it, except for 1 VERY annoying issue.

    We have installed wpForo 1.4.13 as we wanted a forum to better manage our guild raid schedules etc. Setting up of the forums, display the pages, setting the authorisations etc was easy.. but there is a major issue when it comes to registration..

    If I manually add a member to the user list etc then it all works fine. But the issue arises after someone has submitted a registration request, if a new applicant goes to the above link, clicks forum & then registration, they will get the enter Username & email addy.. that then gives a green box message saying all good, check your emails to click the link, create a password & complete registration. So far so good..

    Firstly, it does create a member, but we don’t want that.. not until admin has seen their request & approved it..

    Secondly.. admin does get an email to advise a new member has been created (see previous point), & the new member gets an email saying “to set your password visit the following address”, but when you do click the link a Wordpro page has 2 boxes:

    A BLUE edged one saying “Please enter your username or email address. You will receive a link to create a new password via email”.. thought that’s what that email was for in the firstplace.
    A RED edged box saying “Your password reset link appears to be invalid. Please request a new link below”. Below has a box to enter the username or email & a button to “Get New Password”. How can the link be invalid when it’s the one that was generated & sent out when the registration was made.

    Now, if they do as requested & apply for a new password reset link, then the same thing happens again.

    So we end up with a member entered as a user before admin has approved them, & they can’t log in anyway as they don’t have a password & have no way of setting one up, other than admin going & setting it manually for them.

    Any help would be appreciated.
