• Hey, Before I went ahead, and tried to make it, I was wondering if there was a forum-type plugin, so you could integrate an area into your wordpress that would allow a forum that ran off of the WP user table. If not, I was wondering what you guys would think would be the most and least important features to include. For the most part, it just has to be run like a normal forum, and run off of the WP user table. I would want it to allow any user to start a thread, and allow users to edit their posts. I was trying to think of a way to integrate bbPress, but maybe thats too early.

  • I think this forum is better than the BBPress. But when will you add the Tag support? I donot see it now.

I think all this and more will be coming out with upcoming releases. kris has allot of projects going on so any update is a huge step forward for a true WP forum. ??

XDForum looks really good! I just love the ease of installation & administration!

An “unofficial, non-binding roadmap” (or something like that) would be good to understand, though. I’m interested in the same feature jark mentioned earlier, “forums with different access levels”. Keeping thumbs up that xavic/kris finds time and energy for that…

Another topic: has someone seen a piece of code which would show five latest (XD)forum topics in the blog sidebar? I’d find that very useful.

I posted this bit of code here, among a few other modifications to xdf:
    https://viscomcreatives.org/?a=xdforum&xdforum_action=viewthread&xf_id=17&xt_id=59

    Hope this helps.

Hello, sorry i’m very new to wordpress in general and I couldn’t find exactly how to integrate this XDforum onto a page. I found the code to the forum inside my Presentation/Template Editor and then I go into my “Forum” page and paste the php code in there, but the output is just php code! Any help appreciated

I just realized that if you install it using the standard WordPress theme, everything’s smooth but my problem is that I had the Blix theme on and therefore the forum doesn’t even show up in this theme.

Hi, I love XDForum, for real,

but I have a problem with my theme.

    I’m using 3k2 , a modified version of K2
    https://aydin.net/blog/2006/03/23/three-column-k2-theme-for-wordpress-3k2/

The problem is that also after follow the info to copy the page.php of wp into XDpage,
the sidebar appear after the forum and not in the right, with the forum.

I can stay also without the left bar, but the ” right sidebar ” still remain after the forum, and this look no good.

Anyone can sugggest me something to do it ?

btw, great excellent work, dude… it’s impressive. I admire you.
