Fortnightly backups being done daily

Hi,

Please could you send us a copy of the latest full backup log?
This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
Please use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

I don’t have access to the backup DropBox (only the client has) but it looks like, since doing the WIPE, the system is now removing the fourth backup correctly (which hopefully eliminates the issue of DropBox filling up), but for some reason it is still doing daily backups.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for sending all those details.

It does show that UpdraftPlus is set to schedule to run fortnightly for files and weekly for the database as shown in the log “0000.028 (0) Tasks: Backup files: 1 (schedule: fortnightly) Backup DB: (schedule: weekly)”

I also noticed a warning which could possibly be the cause. This is shown in the log “1507.227 (1) [Warning] Your website is visited infrequently and UpdraftPlus is not getting the resources it hoped for; please read this page: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-am-i-getting-warnings-about-my-site-not-having-enough-visitors/”

This warning message causes UpdraftPlus not able to create or complete backups. UpdraftPlus is only able to run when WordPress is loaded into memory, i.e. when the site is accessed. As such, UpdraftPlus is not able to resume the backups in good time.

Also, can you send me the last 3 backup logs for files and databases? So I can compare them all.

Hi Bryle – I don’t believe it is a busy site, so your explanation may well be correct.

I have added more log files that you requested in the folder here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/spmpv1q04yeszja/AACAkAvwH_O53BEHHlmDnZWTa?dl=0 – I have labelled each file with date and time, and in doing so I have spotted that some backups are occurring twice in the same day.

In the meantime, I’ll study your guide and see if I can set up some automated visits.
