When I tested the forms using Firefox, it worked fine without bugs nor delays. However, when submitting the forms using Safari, nothing happens. A small rotating wheel appears and then nothing.

When testing this also seems to be the case with Chrome, but only sometimes. I cannot reproduce this consistently.

This is the shortcode I use:

[mst_subscribe id=”1″ hideList hideName buttonTxt=”Subscribe” emailLabel=”Your email: ” thankTxt=”You are now on the mailing list. You should have received a confirmation email in your inbox.”]

I hope this is fixable, since this plugin provides almost everything we need, but without usable forms we unfortunately have to look elsewhere.

    Hello @blwh

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear the forms are not working for you.

We tried to reproduce the problem for Safari, but were unable to do so.

Which Safari version is this? Are we talking Mac or iOS (which device then)?

If this is the Desktop version: do you see any errors in the Safari console?

    Thank you!

I tried it using Safari on my iPad, and I also let a colleague try it on her Macbook. I did not record the errors from the console – but if I remember correctly, I got the response but with empty fields, and “res” set to false.

However, when I now tried to reproduce the errors again it did work on Safari on my iPad. This is very surprising, as we had problems with this for multiple weeks before today.

I checked with Mac, iPad & iPhone and was not able to reproduce the issue.

The one thing that comes to mind is: could caching play a role?

If you have any caching/performance plugins active, they might be problematic for the forms. So if that is the case, you need to exclude the page(s) of the forms from being cached.

I had my colleague test again and it didn’t work. I had to run so I only managed to snap this picture of the console: https://imagetolink.com/ib/hyCp6jI9lD

I didn’t think of the cache being an issue. I could try turning it off – I am using the “default” W3 Total Cache.

Please turn it off just so that we can rule it out.

So I turned off the caching and thus far the form has worked well for the ones who have tried it. I guess that was it!

Happy to hear that. Thanks for reporting back!
