• Hi,

    When I try and fill in and send a on-line form I get this error (on the front end):

    There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.

    I’ve used WP Mail SMTP and do a test, it doesn’t work eiether and I get:

    Versions:
    WordPress: 5.2.3
    WordPress MS: No
    PHP: 7.2.21
    WP Mail SMTP: 1.6.2

    Params:
    Mailer: smtp
    Constants: No
    ErrorInfo: SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting
    Host: s smtp.live.com
    Port: 597
    SMTPSecure: ssl
    SMTPAutoTLS: bool(false)
    SMTPAuth: bool(true)

    Server:
    OpenSSL: OpenSSL 1.0.2k 26 Jan 2017
    SMTP Debug:
    2019-09-19 03:44:58 SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

    I have contacted my web hosting provider and they have said:

    ‘For the errors before installing the SMTP plugin I have tested the site’s PHP Mail Function and it is working fine, so that error was not server-side. You will need to consult with your mail service provider and the developers of your contact form plugin for help in this matter as I’m afraid we don’t support 3rd party plugins or 3rd party mail service providers.’

    I’m a bit stuck. Could anyone let me know of anything that I can check in order to get to the bottom of this problem?

    Thanks,

    Paul
