Forms not sending email; spinning icon

  • Hello – When someone attempts to send a message through our contact form, the icon just keeps spinning and no ‘message successfully sent’ message comes up. Also, the message is not sent to us via email. We also use the CFDB7 plugin, where we can find the messages in the backend of the site, but both the spinning icon and missing email notifications are still an issue. I’ve cleared the cache on the site and it’s still not working. Please advise.

    Try switching to the default theme and deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7 and Akismet Anti-Spam.

    Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

    I can’t do that as I did not create the site and therefore cannot guarantee it will all go back to normal when I reactivate the theme and plugins. Are there any other ways to fix this?

    You can do it but give this a read. It lets you disable plugins and your theme for your session only. Your visitors will see no change.
