Forms not sending, API is blocked?

    After installing this plugin, forms on the website stopped working.
    Forms sent by ajax are throwing an error (500) with get_status() function not defined.
    after a long research – it appears that the API access is blocked by this plugin.
    how can I fix this?
    I use contact form 7
